Sports Posters Ordering Information

Sales Tax: Sales tax is applicable on all orders originating within the state of Illinois on the full amount of the purchase. There is no sales tax for purchases from other states or countries.

Shipping/Delivery Time: All posters along with your photos will be shipped within two weeks. Our standard delivery is US Postal Service. If a delay in shipment is anticipated, we will notify by phone or email. During the months of November and December, there could be delays due to the holidays.

The Order Process

There are two basic ways the Sports Posters are created. We can work from action or posed photographs that you supply Glen Oak Studio or we can provide action photographs for you.

1. Customer Supplied Photographs:
Please choose clear, high quality, 8x10, 5x7 or 4x6 snapshots taken in good lighting. The clarity and resolution of the photo images will impact the quality of the poster. We can work with color prints, slides and digital photos; however, digital is the preferred image type. For prints, you can convert your prints to a digital format by scanning your photos at a high resolution, the higher the resolution (300 dpi or higher) the better. If you do not have a scanner, you can take your photos to a copy-duplication store (i.e. FedEx Kinko's). They can scan your photos and put them on a photo CD (CD-R).

For digital images, we can work with various formats including: High resolution (300 dpi or higher) .jpg/jpeg, .psd (Adobe Photoshop) and .tiff. Jpeg digital photos are suitable for emailing (3-5 MB size), but .psd and .tiff should be stored on a CD and mailed due to their large file sizes.

Important: Working from personal photographs you own is best to avoid copyright infringements. Please note the following guidelines for photographs you are providing but do not own the copyright:

• If the photograph was taken professionally, then you must provide an authorization for use of the photo. Copyright Release Form
• If you own the copyright, please note the ownership within the email or mail along with the images.
• If you do not own the copyright, then you must contact the professional photographer for written authorization and provide a copy of the authorization along with the images.

Please do not send irreplaceable photos. Glen Oak Studio will not be responsible for the replacement or value reimbursement for damages in shipping or unforeseen accidents. Please have your photo copied or scanned into a digital format to ensure you have a backup copy.

Getting your images to Glen Oak Studio:

• By Mail
  Please print the Order Form. You will need to use this order form when sending prints, slides and CDs. Digital images on a CD can be in .jpg/jpeg, .psd or .tiff format. We ask that you use CD-R CDs. Be sure to identify your prints by using a Post-It™ Note or removable label and put your name and telephone on the back of your prints. Do not write on the back of prints because it can damage your prints by creating indentations that can appear in the image of the photograph. To help protect your prints when shipping, use a piece of cardboard cut slightly larger than your prints.

• By Internet/Electronic
  Please use the online order form for selecting your Sports Poster. Digital photos must be at least 1200 pixels (4x6 photo scanned at 300dpi = 4 x 300 or 1200 pixels). If you scan your photos, please scan at 300dpi or higher. When we receive your order, you will be emailed a confirmation and will be prompted to reply with the attached photo or photos. Multiple photos will require multiple emails to ensure compliance with your Internet providers file size guidelines.

2. Photographs provided by Glen Oak Studio:
If you do not own action photos of your child, we'll be happy to assist you if you reside within the boundaries of McLean County, IL. It is important to note that school districts, city leagues and city parks have rules and guidelines pertaining to photography. Glen Oak Studio cannot guarantee field access at all sporting events based on the guidelines set forth at each sporting venue. Scheduling a photo shoot requires advance notice to avoid scheduling conflicts.

We charge $25 per hour to cover a sporting event. We promise to provide a wide assortment of action and candid images of your child. The volume of images is dependent upon the amount of game participation and field access. All images will be uploaded to a secure website for viewing. An access code will be provided for additional security.

Posters: Posters are printed on Kodak Endura Professional paper. Tested light keeping is equivalent to 100+ years before noticeable fading occurs in typical home display. These prints are capable of achieving the ultimate in image fidelity, color accuracy, unsurpassed sharpness and detail. Prints are produced at Miller Professional Imaging, which is one of the world's finest professional labs.

Price and Poster Sizes: Posters come in three basic styles: Border, Signature Series (SS) and Magazine. Prices are based on the number of photos to be included in the poster. Posters are available in the following sizes:

Glen Oak Studio offers 25% discount when purchasing 2 or more posters. You pay the regular price for the first poster and 25% discount on each additional poster. For example, if you order (3) 8x10 single photo poster, the cost is figured: 1 @ $15 and 2 @ $11.25 for a total of $37.50.

Computer Screen Image Quality
Please note that computer monitor images have much lower resolution and often have color differences from the actual print. The images you are viewing are at 72 dpi (dots per inch) versus 300 to 1440 dpi for the actual print. This difference means that the print generally shows greater contrast, texture, tonal range, saturation, scale, etc. than a screen image. In addition, computer monitors are often calibrated differently and can therefore introduce difference in brightness, contrast and color. While we have made every effort to present images that represent the final print well, you should find that the actual print is even more appealing.

Return Policy: Glen Oak Studio must be notified by email glen@glenoakstudio.com or phone 1-309-828-8417 within 10 days of receipt of any damaged or defective merchandise. Glen Oak Studio cannot accept returns of items that have been altered in any way from their original form. Merchandise cannot be returned to Glen Oak Studio unless defective or damaged in shipping. Since the US Postal Service is the carrier, a claim must be filed with your local Post Office to process the refund.
